Lots of 5D's for sale, lots of people wanting 50D's. It means two transactions instead of one, but its probably a lot more practical than finding someone willing to revert from full frame to a crop body. Not saying you wouldnt eventually find one, but why wait?

I dont have a 50D, but its significantly better than my 40D. When the 50D came out there were those that said it was a step back in ISO performance from the 40D. I think you will be happier.
