It is an issue as the 5D doesnt have the dust shaker cleaning system. You probably need to get comfortable with the idea of getting a kit and cleaning your own sensor. My sensor is pretty dirty, although it only really shows up at small apertures, and I need to start cleaning it myself.

A rocket blower makes a huge difference and usually is about all you need to keep the sensor clean. I give the sensor a quick few puffs every so often and my pictures stay clear.

I disagree. That may be true for people who live in relatively "clean" atmospheres, but here there is constantly salt in the air making the dust "sticky" and a Rocket Blower does absolutely nothing - I have to wet clean every time. The most important thing to remember with a 5D is lens-changing discipline - where, when and how, so as to minimise the ingress of muck. I've got it off to a fine art now, and I rarely clean my sensor more often than every couple of months. When I started it was several times a week.

I traded my T2i + $150 for a Canon EOS 5D mkI yesterday. So far I'm loving the full-frame format with my new 50mm f/1.4 USM.

The camera is in mint condition. I'm very pleased. :)

I like what i hear haha
the 50D's noise is pretty bad starting at 800
what's the 5D look like at 800?

Quick test picture at ISO800 (I was testing how good is it on 5D shorter after getting my 5D)

IMAGE: https://lh5.googleusercontent.com/-F4aF4DtahwU/TTjxoQq_sAI/AAAAAAAAQq4/WUIPaC0I2pg/s512/IMG_0953.JPG

I have 500D which is exactly same for ISO as 50D. I have no problem to use it at 1600 and higher for personal photos.
But 5D at 1600 might be almost noise free.
ISO1600 at 5D
IMAGE: https://lh5.googleusercontent.com/-jDsotYfHrRk/TULTvmM8cQI/AAAAAAAAQ5w/XlTXWpBlRjE/IMG_1047.JPG

but not all the times, if you have not enough light, noise will be present.
ISO 1600, F1.8, 1/125
IMAGE: https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/--cvNdwQ7uNE/Td2sWJfdOcI/AAAAAAAAT9s/gcOiL7F_vFs/s800/_MG_6382.jpg

5D gives you more stops to bring exposure up in PP.

ISO3200 at 5D with sun completelly down (2011:05:19 21:40:00).
IMAGE: https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-nP1_kRIv4d4/TeVIVYdYkqI/AAAAAAAAULo/H-WYMTWLipY/s800/_MG_6279.jpg

one from 500D
ISO6400
No flash, of course at moments like this.
