Strange, I never hesitate to MF on Nifty Fifty or at my 28-75 zoom on wider end. But my 135 2.8 is much more difficult to MF.

I am thinking of getting the 5D for my first FF body just to see if it is what I think it will be. I would use it for portraits.
any thoughts on that. I have a 50D at the moment.

i just made the exact same trade. all i have to say is i love the 5D. sure, the screen is no where near as good as the 50D and there's no live view, but once you take at look at the files this camera produces there's no going back. AF is the same really.

well I don't use live view and I have never trusted the screen other than to look at the histogram and shadows.
