Nice! Just shows what a stellar performer the 5d is! I've even shot in worse light (ISO 3200, 1/80, f2.8), but assisted with the 580 (focus assist only) with the 5Dc - shooting dancers - and not struggled either. :)

Anyway, another from me. This was her first time ever modelling, so had some real difficulties to put it mildly! So I was glad how a couple of them turned out in the end. :)

with all due respect, low light focusing is cake with the 580 assist beam. its when the camera has to do it without that it *sometimes* has trouble finding the contrast points for AF. it also depends on the lens obviously, you put some good fast glass on it and you're increasing your chances greatly.

Has anyone here tried any long exposures at night? I mean like 1min+.

I get some considerable noise and red and blue pixels at even 2 minutes. And this is outside in 0 degree Celsius weather.
