if you're asking if you can adjust micro-focus on the 5d - No, you can't. Cameras with micro-adjustment (or AF fine tuning) currently include:
Canon 1DIII, 1DIV, 1DsMkIII, 5DII, 50D, 7D, Nikon D3, D3x, D300, D700, Sony A900, Pentax K20

Hmm, so it's a bit of a gamble then huh. Unless I buy new, which doesn't really interest me.

Nikon D600
-Samyang 14mm f2.8 -Nikon 50mm 1.8G -Nikon 70-200mm f2.8 VR

you can always sell it if you don't like how it performs. i don't see it as a big gamble.

There are a lot of great images in these threads taken with the 5D that seem to be pretty darn sharp despite not having micro adjust. Maybe just maybe the need for that is overstated.

I'm wondering if the sigma 24mm f1.8 is a good match to the 5D?

Can we adjust focus on the 5d?

It was in one thread at this forum, internal screw for MA somewhere before mirror.

Hey, don't get me wrong, if it works it works. I'd rather minimize my chances of buying something that won't focus right just to try and pass it onto someone else.

But there really isnt a history of 5D's not focusing right I've used canon slrs since 1978, havent had MA yet, and haven't missed it.

Yeah maybe not, but there are quite a few complaints about that sigma lens.

Yes, more with the 50 than that lens, but its almost always resolved by sending it in for calibration, not by MA.
