Very sharp even wide open. It didn't do too well wide open on my previous 50D though. Presumably due to the higher pixel density. 5D Mark II | 5Dc |17-40 | 24-105 | 70-200 F2.8 IS | Sigma 50mm 1.4 | 580EX

I had my new 7D with me and he gave me a few tips on setting and using it. I asked him whether he would use a 5DC or a 7D for a wedding, and he said on balance he would use the 7D because of the far higher pixel count. From my first week's experience with the 7D I can tell the experience would be easier with the 7D, though I have no idea yet on the quality of the output. 5D & 7D (both gripped), 24-105L, 100-400L, 15-85, 50 f1.8, Tamron 28-75, Sigma 12-24, G10, EX-Z55 & U/W housing, A1+10 lenses, tripods, lighting gear, etc. etc.

They are both great camera's so I think in the end it depends on your style. Most people always go with whats "newer". Brandy 500px
