All I'm trying to say - I can't use full screen on 500D which is identical to 60D to find out if human eye is in focus at shallow DoF. I need to zoom in, same as on 5D.

Guess my 5D needs to go back to Canon -- this can't be good.

Is that really what it is? Shutter replacement? Eek.

Guess I shouldn't trust shutter count from people on eBay?

Wondering this as well. Anyone know or is it Canon's $200 flat repair fee?

Yeah but then again, they can fail at any time. I have a buddy on her second 5d Mk2. Her first failed after 5000 Shutter Acutations. But that was just bad luck. She was within warranty and got a brand new one.

First day with new 5D and 85 1.2L II. Taken in a rush, but some came out alright I think, please comment =). All taken at F/1.2, last one at ISO 1600 (pretty damn clean!).

I counter with a shot of my friends burgers. He's a chef that works at a top restaurant here in town.

I believe it was a 2007.

Welp, the 5D is on its way back to Canon.

Going to get an exact shutter count from Canon when they receive it.

It is with a heavy heart I bid this wonderful thread goodbye. :o Just pulled the trigger on a refurb with an extra 10% off. :D:D:D I was about to purchase on fleabay for $2250 because it was going to only cost $90 less to go the refurb route, but $350 cheaper? I'll take that! Thanks for pointing out the 10% coupon guys; literally while I was at the bank switching money in accounts to purchase on eBay. The lady thought I was crazy coming right back in to transfer back. My 5D Classic and grip are off to the new owners and the 5D MKii is officially ordered. :D How can you even shake a stick at $1799 through the Canon refurb program? Talk about timing for them to run that.

PS: Sorry for all of the smiley faces, but can you tell I'm like a little kid? Ha!
