Hi,

Am just having an extremely dumb day...have been printing from LR on my pc for a couple of years.

Just got a Mac with LR3 and can't remember if in the print options under Colour Management I choose "Managed by Printer" or choose the paper profile that I am printing to.....

Hoping it's just the new/different to pc layout that has thrown me and I'm really not getting more stupid..

Ta
Phil

If you have a calibrated system you can choose the proper paper profile. Just know, though, that LR does not do Soft Proofing (although I hear that there's an LR plug-in out there that does this). Anyway you also need to make sure to turn color management off in your printer driver so that the prints don't get "double-cooked".

Hey Tony, yep calibrated monitor with Spyder......the Mac layout is different to what I am used to but since choosing the paper profile (instead of managed by printer) in LR, it automatically null and voids the colour handling/management option in the printer driver.
Guess they have decided to take away the option so no one double profiles.....bloody nice of them.

Thanks for your help
