I'm told that at least one of my photos made it into the contest issue. My copy hasn't arrived yet. Anyone have theirs already - please tell me which photo(s) made it. Would be under the name of 'Jim Arner' - Alpine, WY.

Thanks!

The beginner clicks the shutter and says "Let's see what I got." ... The experienced photographer thinks "How can I capture what I see?"

Terry, thanks!

This is 'The Narrows' - separates upper/lower Star Valley in western Wyoming.

That looks quite familiar to me. Is that along the highway that runs through Smoot, but just south of there?

My grandparents live in the valley just south of Thayne, but north of Afton.

Eagle:

This would be north of Smoot, where the Salt River Valley 'narrows'; between Grover and Thayne. This would be quite close to where your grand-parents live.

Ah ha, no wonder it looks so familiar then :) I hope to get back to the area later this summer / early fall. Beautiful places up there. Have you been to the periodic spring by chance?
