It depends on your budget & whether you shoot enough of this stuff to justify buying an expensive piece of glass. OTOH, the cheap solution is to just crop in a bit. What do you guys think about the Canon 100-400 4.5 - 5.6? I've borrowed & used one & I liked it. But I shoot a lot of low light & v-ball indoors, so I wanted more speed. Wide when you need it, but long when you want that far shot. But then again, I have access to basically wherever on the track I'd like. (local lapping days and autocross events) Canon PowerShot SX40HS
