Bighorn Ram

Good day for Bighorns on the east-drive road at the National Elk Refuge near Jackson. Had two rams walk very close to me.

Also got to see some wolves, but they were way too far away (approx. 600 yards) to get any photos.

Lovely image...I love his entry into the frame from the right....makes him look like he has a sense of purpose. I prefer this kind of image to the ones where the animal is "all there" but there is no dynamism because such images often look staged. This one...his entry and hence his "departure" from the frame suggest life and purpose. Thanks for sharing!

A little more snow there today? My son is driving from Sheridan to Rock Springs - had to go through Muddy Gap as South Pass was reported closed.

VERY nice shot. I like the sharpness of the ram and the blur of the back ground sticks and grasses. Great work on a tough shot in the wild.
