So it's a modern-day scheme but on a WWII era airframe?

Interesting... Sort of like painting a T-41 as an F-16...

Yeah, sorta like that.

Once again, nice pictures.

Nice shots as always Jay! I think you did pretty well on the C-47 cockpit shot. The 180/Husky/150 looks like a bit of pucker factor - good eye to catch it though! That Avenger must have sounded AWESOME!

Excuse my ignorance, but what lens is the 'brick' ?

No worries of ignorance - the 24-70 f2.8 is sometimes called the brick.

You sure get a strange mix showing up for these gatherings. Great shots Jay.

Any particular reason for shooting the flying with the MK III and the static with the MK IV? All beautiful shots.

Mike

Thanks All for the nice reception. Shooting at Coolidge is absolutely one of my favorite things to do. I only wish they were weekly and didn't take a break between May and October!

Hi Mike and Thank You! :D

I prefer to put the longest lens on the least pixel-dense body in order to fill the frame as much as possible. If I need to crop, I'd rather crop images from the MkIV and not the MkIII.

Thanks Jay....

I'm looking at the MK IV and looking at the decision process from every angle literally.
