Youre right, Paul - this fella deserves some ink, er, pixels.

It's a good image. I think what's keeping the colors from having that punch is a white balance problem. There's about 10% too much cyan in the CYMK mix, and it makes the photo look a bit flat. If you use PS, try setting the white point as described here:

(I'd focus on the small white rock instead of the bright metal on the collar.)

I like their ears that way, too.
