So, we have a Regional VP that continues to live in the 80's with all that attitude/inspiration hoo haw. Still plays all the games at sales meetings, etc.

A few months ago he started writing on the stuff like "Let Me Hear You" on the white board in customer service. We often talk about what we would like to say be seldom, unless someone is brown nosing, does anyone write anything...that is until today, and it says...

MOO!

Blasphemy, I tell you, pure blasphemy.;)

I'm not sure where he was reading them but this one was so funny:
Heisenberg's epitaph reads, "He lies here, somewhere."

another one:
I told you I was sick.

Spike Milligan (One of GBs greatest comedians) has this Irish inscription on his grave

"Duirt me leat go raibh me breoite"

(I told you I was ill)

ALL If you do not listen to any of the links I put in my Desert Island Disks do listen to the Maria Callas Queen of the Night Aria.

Her voice is AWESOME !

The Queen of the Night aria from Die Zauberflöte (external link) by Mozart Sung by Maria Callas

OK, I'm not a big opera fan, but that was impressive. I didn't recognize it until a little bit into the aria.

You are trapped on a small desert Island but you do not have to worry about food and water there is an adequate supply.

All you have with you is a portable record player (CD player now I guess) The Bible and the complete works of Shakespear.

You are limited to just:
  • 8 pieces of music or recorded spoken word
  • I book
  • I non practical luxury.

Wow, I've gotta think on this....

You have to love tradition, this happened in 1941, we still did it when I was in the regiment and it continues to this day and will happen on St Davids Day the 1st March.

Happy St. Davy's Day, Neil! Wear your leek with pride! (do you still wear the leek now?)

I remember hearing that line near the end of Henry V and not know what they were talking about.

I'm officially a Wyoming resident! Just went and got my new license. Was forced to since my Oregon one expires on my bday. We also got our PO box set up here in Hillsdale. Talk about a very very very small rural town. All it has is a post office and several residents.

Hope everyone is having a great day! It's snowing here.:D

Substitute Shakespeare with the complete works of C.S. Lewis... :)

Music would be:

Vivaldi's Four Seasons
Keith Green's Early Years collection
Boston (first album or third, either/or)
Toto IV
Jimmy Buffet "Changes in Latitudes, Changes in Attitudes" album
Billy Joel "An Innocent Man" album
DeGarmo & Key "Communication" album
Genesis "Platinum Collection" album

Book:

Matthew Henry's Concise Concordance

Luxury item:

Not so luxurious, but I'd like to have a very useful knife. Or, if luxury item it must be, my camera kit. ;)

The weather right now is so wonky. The weather sites fluctuate wildly hour to hour. Anywhere from 100% to 40% chance of anything. Why not just say: "I have no clue."

<----------pissed vmad

My dad got roughed up and almost car jacked last night. He is okay but is bruised and has a swollen elbow but the ER cleared him. Here (external link)is a bit about it, second story on 31st street.. The report says he complied and gave them the keys but actually he locked the car and threw them. He did not think to hit the panic button though. They got the keys but set the alarm off opening the car and then said "it's a stick car we can't drive that". Stupid ignorant pieces of **** I have all my feelers out, they will be found.
