The cutter I was on was about the same size as that minesweeper. Round bottom, rolled (or, more aptly put, "wallowed") in the calmest of seas. Single screw with a max speed of MAYBE 13 knots.

HEY! My cutter has a Wiki page (external link)! Or did I already know that. I need some coffee.

So does my sub... (external link)

HERE (external link) is a link to a page showing her during her "yellow submarine" phase.

Warning: if you hit the back button on that page, there are links to more pictures, but also music and sound effects... If you click, turn down your volume.

Morning!!

So yesterday, Kona was just not himself. He was agitated so much last night that Dan finally brought him in and slept with him in the guest room. We have no idea why...unless it was his shots. (he got everything except rabies yesterday). Anyone have this issue before?

Soooo, you know how states have a state bird, or state flower? West Virginia's state flower is the satellite dish by the way. Well, Utah, that bizarre and confused place that looks like Mars, has decided on a state gun. I am moving in Cat, move on over:lol::roll::roll: At least it is a 1911 Government Model, they showed good taste. Apparently Browning came from Utah. http://www.cnn.com …firearm/index.html?hpt=T2 (external link)

hahaha...they are so alien!

Dano and anyone interested. Boat going over the Tsunami out at sea. No tragedy or wreckage, thankfully, just an interesting perspective. http://www.liveleak.com/view?i=35d_1300516340 (external link)

that was interesting, I've not been to sea in bad weather but I would have expected worse from a tsunami...goes to show what I don't know. lol

LISA you pain with the vet will be felt by us next week. I could rant on with what I think is a big contributor the high costs of all things medical, people and animal. We did stop the flea and tick prevention on a routine basis. We'll treat him when we know were going into the conservation areas with him, but since moving we haven't taken him in as he has room to run and explore out here.

State/County law requires rabies and we use Heartguard as well. Bax thinks he is getting a special treat on the first day of the month and gobbles them down like any other treat.

We stopped the flea and tick thing too, but mainly because they don't get them in the winter...and the chemicals bother their skin. We'll do it when they have them. It was weird because I was on the phone with the doc and she was saying "we have fleas all year round here but the proof is in the pudding, Kona is completely free of them so I'm not going to argue with you". I wish my gp would be as open.

Our state requires rabies but not heartworm meds BUT we wouldn't think of not protecting them.

Hi everyone!

Having some free time today - and as it is raining outside, I've tried to "rework" some old favorites... (now that I have LR, I'd better learn how to use it properly ;-)a) Let me know which one you prefer...

We are off to clean and prep for painting at the new place.

oooh, I bet you are so excited to move into your new place. That seems to always help with the work needing to be done.

puddlepirate44 wrote in post #12049769 (external link)
That's a bit... awkward....

I've never "hit" a tsunami, but I've seen my fair share of big waves. Big waves are pretty relative. A 50 footer probably wouldn't be much to a big Navy carrier or Battleship, but having to beat through a storm of them off of Oregon in a little CG cutter was a BLAST.

Some of the storms you've told me about seemed worse than that wave. Was it drama rhetoric or was there a reason the waves would be worse in a regular storm?

I was just thinking about the word, "Hippopotamus". It's a convoluted Latin word meaning, "River Horse".

OK, what latin dude thought that up?

"Hey, Octavius, what's that freakin' HUGE animal in the water over there?"

"It's a... it's a... HORSE! In a... RIVER!"

"...really? THAT'S a horse. OK, no more tequila for you, you sot."

LOL!!

Here is the tattoo I was talking about a few days ago on the foot of Caitlin's BFF, Janna. She is an amateur, or wannabe, paleontologist. Not something I would want, but still kinda unique. Caitlin's cell phone shot, shared with permission.

That's pretty cool. Must have hurt though. owwww

Both girls look great. Nice day for a swim too. Sookie must be going through a growing spurt. She's definitely changed from this photo to the last set you posted of her.

BearLeeAlive wrote in post #12049871 (external link)
Neil, Sookie seems to have stretched and slimmed, maybe it is just her wet coat. Harley is cute as ever.

I was thinking that too.

I just pulled the pin on the Cruz reader. For $110 shipped, it is definitely worth a try to see how much we like and use it.

Ireland have just beaten England in the last game of the 6 Nations Championship. England have beaten Wales, France, Italy and Scotland to date and only needed to beat Ireland to be "Grand Slam" champions. Doh !

(Its Rugby BTW :-) )

It's amazing how popular something with no meat on it can be. I wonder if I could make a killing if I slathered chicken and turkey necks with spicy BBQ sauce...

I am sure I have mentioned this on here before, but when I was living in South Africa the "African" butchers sold packs of Chicken Heads and Feet. They were affectionately known as "Walkie Talkies"
