Well, I have now been doing the hot yoga for a month now, going 17 times, and though its seems minimal, I have definitely had noticeable improvement in my bendability. I am noticing it in the things I do daily too, not quite as much grunting when I move. :p

I would recommend anyone trying it if they have a chance. I met a guy in there today that was in a bad motorcycle accident a few years ago. Broken back and arms and ribs and legs. He did not walk for half a year. After that he was limping a lot, and did little for exercise because it pained him too much. About 6 months ago he started doing this hot yoga, taking it slowly at a doable pace, and claims he is back to where he was mobility wise before the accident, and is now shooting for more. He is somewhere in his late 40's I would guess.

"little known" or rather, "unknown" being the operative term here.

This afternoon while waiting for the charcoal to get ready I hear a flock of Sandhill Cranes, very cool. Within 15 minutes at least another 6 flocks fly over. Very, very cool. Their sound is very distinct and can be heard from some distance.

Then a pause, so I decide to see if the 100-400 is at home or in Curt's truck, the wild turkeys have been giving him quite the show on his way to work the past several days. Yes! It is in the office on his camera, I just grabbed it in the hopes some more flocks would fly over...nothing...nothing...

By now the coals are ready to put on each side of the grill for indirect heat. I just finish splitting them when I hear that distinct call again. I throw down my work gloves on the grill work tables, grab the camera and start shooting. When I turned around, one of my gloves is smoking, it was overhanging right above the coals. But, I got several shots...it has a charred along the cuff...but, I got several shots.

Coolness! Bet that was really neat to see!

Anyone following the recent Space news about the Messenger Probe currently orbiting Mercury?

First messages from the probe have recently been published:
  • Dang, it is HOT out here. Send Ice Cream ASAP.
  • OK, wait, this is just a big, superheated rock. I traveled six years for this?
  • Surface of Planet: Similar to surface of Phoenix in July. No surprise there.
  • I should've worn cotton for this mission.
  • Does this Solar Panel make my butt look big?
  • HEY! YOU! Sun! You better not flare while I'm right here. Do NOT do that. I will be seriously PO'd.
  • FOUND THE MISSING NIXON TAPES!
  • Hey, wait... THIS isn't PLUTO! I've been TRICKED!
  • Message from Mercury's polar region: Natives want Charlie Sheen to come home.
  • Alright, alright, alright. You win. YES, the Sun is annoying when it's this close.

LMAO at work is not such a good thing...

we just got the yard fixed up. No more winter weeds in yard or flower beds. Flower beds tidy and ready for spring.

Congrats on getting it ready Lisa and Dan

We are home and tired. I cleaned out the fridge, which is the only appliance we are keeping, took down horrible drapes full of dust, vacuumed and dusted. I also went to Lowe's and ordered the appliances, they will be delivered in 2 weeks. They wanted 200 bux to install the dishwasher!! I figure we'll ask the building maintenance guy of he wants to make a few bux.

Congrats on the new appliances Crissa.

Thanks.

The first one is kind of "if you can't beat 'em, join 'em" kind of thing. No light. Hard to get a shot where they were frozen, so I just went with it a little more.

Yoga has so many good benefits, not sure I could do the heat though. I have a hard time functioning at extreme temps in either direction.
