K-dog just needs to get out a burn some of it off. Once it warms up and he can run and swim again....he will trim right down.

K is just special. I saw your FB post about the food and saw that your friends dog put on weight eating it.

Yeah, same food. And my friends dog is Kona's full blood sister. One of the things that the totw web site said, was that it was a very high caloric food. We just bought another one (no grain food) that has some things as well as meat in it...sweat potatoes etc. to blend with it. It will cut down on the calories, add essential vitamins still but without giving them needless filler food. It should help without cutting down the nutrition.

He does. Once it stops raining, he'll be back on his "conquer the world" tour.

we actually moved the cats off that food too. Marlowe porked out. Huge. And Pachie hated it so he dropped way too much weight. We are feeding them that food that Cat brought up and Pachie is slowly getting back to normal and Marlowe has thinned out again.

:D She has had it since Christams but yes it is much more fitting than her "construction worker" outfit as Chris calls it

MUCH!

I can't believe she's smaller than K. LOL. He's NOT supposed to be bigger than a lab.
Dan said he thought Kona weighed 61 but the vet paper said 62.5 He's on a diet though. The vet seemed to think he was fine. He's got a waist. But we know how he was...and what he should be. So he's on a diet.

That's about what I guessed. My boy grew big this winter! I was really surprised when I saw him. He's just trying to grow into his tongue.

Chris....I liked the first shot too, but I think the color version was better.

Thanks Dan. That was a different shot. I just did this one today - and didn't publish a color version (similar though).

Our cancer patient has taken a radical turn for the worse. I'll probably be heading for NY in the next couple of days.

he did. He really needs some running time. But we're pretty sure that the majority is the change of food. Since you saw him just before we switched the food (it was mid winter) and all that weight happened afterwards.

Thanks for the kind thoughts and words! Given the diagnosis last May....it is actually somewhat surprising that she has made it this far. Next to pancreatic cancer, this is the nastiest stuff out there. I don't know that I ever mentioned what it was....primary signet ring carcinoma of the appendix. Ugly, ugly...fast spreading nightmare.

Cat, gird your loins. Avert your eyes. Do whatever it takes to not look at this image. A serious crime against the vintage occurred here!!
