I don't think you're that far from where we are right now.......your veracity is very much suspect right now.

My veracity is suspect? Kind sir, please check EXIF on this shot of the sun taken just a few minutes ago...

We're about 70 miles north of San Mateo. Perhaps you'd care to name a suitable field nearby where we can settle this matter of you besmirching my honor with pistols at dawn? ;)

Hello!

Hey Bobert. Nice TMS and adorable shot.

On the orange skin, have you tried a hue/saturation adjustment layer and changing the master to yellows? Then playing with the adjustment sliders?

I don't know if this will work but it would be where I would start.

She bakes all sorts of cakes. The more complex the better. Here's one she made for my youngest grandgirl's 1st birthday.

Very cool. I like to cook but would lose patience beyond a double layer cake. Usually I stick with a simple sheet cake.

This team is looking for a legendary and mythical "Alux" (ah-LOOSH) in the Yucatan peninsula. It's a short biped, quick moving, covered in hair.

In the North American continent, we call it a Zane.

Prepare to yawn as my project pales to Zane and Jim's.

My goal this year has been to make all my family greeting cards ahead of time. And for some reason I'm doing a lot this year with polymer clay.

The prep tools. A pasta machine is used to condition the clay. I work the clay on a marble tile using molds, extruder, roller, and blades for cutting. The baby powder is a releasing agent for the molds and you can also see one of many items used in coloring paper clay when I use it.

IMAGE: http://performancephoto.smugmug.com/photos/1222809185_sMfDp-O.jpg

The timer in the previous shot is used for when I bake the polymer clay. I use this old toaster oven.
IMAGE: http://performancephoto.smugmug.com/photos/1222809439_rnykV-O.jpg

Some finished molds ready to put on future cards. The white figures are paper clay. The warped one won't be used, it was an experiment using children's paper clay. It is too heavy and doesn't mold well.
IMAGE: http://performancephoto.smugmug.com/photos/1222809187_rMyWX-O.jpg

Sometimes I roll out clay and stamp it. This is a tiny assortment of my collection.
IMAGE: http://performancephoto.smugmug.com/photos/1222809603_QG5dm-O.jpg

One of 4 containers of ink for the stamps. (note more stamps in the background)
IMAGE: http://performancephoto.smugmug.com/photos/1222809784_Aq5cB-O.jpg

Some tools used for assembling cards. And yes the fudge is very important for the assembly.
IMAGE: http://performancephoto.smugmug.com/photos/1222809511_UDJ3y-O.jpg

And finally one finished card, except for the verse in my organizer. Sadly this is the card I made for my brother who passed away. I will probably use it for my sister-in-law, now.

BECKY, great to see the behind the scenes shots of your clay card project. Looks like lots of fun, and what a great unique present.

this made me cry. I must be emotional today. :|

I LOVED that version of Hallelujah though. Alexandra Burke. It's one of my (now) favorite renditions.

It made me cry too...

If you look close you'll see I modified mine. The tape kept slipping off the uptake wheel when it got 1/2 way through the roll. I put in a guard to keep it from doing that. I have to find where I ordered the tape also. I just loaded my last roll from my last order.

LR just quit on me and so are my eyes. I'm taking it as a sign to go to bed. Later all.

I've not had any trouble with mine.... I had a different adhesive a few years ago that was horrid... I finally just threw it out it gave me so much trouble.

Let me know if you need a source for it. There's a framing shop in the next town over that I get mine from, and I know they do mail order as well. Actually the next trip I make to Hendersonville, I have to pick some up. Fortunately I go that way once a month or so. :D

Night Becky!
