Thanks all.

For some reason, Marky was fascinated by the hole in the wall. Now, he's a bit confused that it's gone...

At first I thought you'd sent him into the corner for a "time out." ;)

Like it a lot. Can't wait for some decent weather/light.

I used my cheapie ring flash for these. Works okay, but I can't figure out how to dial down the power.

couldn't you turn down FEC on the camera instead of the flash?

I thought so, but I haven't figured out how to do that yet.:oops:

Do you have to be in TTL to do that? I generally use manual.

This team is looking for a legendary and mythical "Alux" (ah-LOOSH) in the Yucatan peninsula. It's a short biped, quick moving, covered in hair.

In the North American continent, we call it a Zane.

:lol::lol::lol:!!!

It is good that there are naturally good people in the world. We need them, because of those, like myself, whose very nature are very suspicious of anyone holding a 'free hug' sign

It just makes your eye poking finger twitch doesn't it?

puddlepirate44 wrote in post #12057687 (external link)
I just found out that 13th century Europeans used to baptize their children in beer. I don't think that would fly nowadays. Imagine Rusty and Flo taking their baby, Billybob, to the church for baptism, lugging along a big 30 pack of PBR for the baptismal.

LOL!

3Turner wrote in post #12057705 (external link)
I don't think it would work....when we baptized Samuel and the moment the cold water hit his head...he baptized the father.

LOL!

Set the scene: There's a show on the Discovery Channel where a team, based out of L.A., fly out to these spots where mysterious things happen. UFO's, Bigfoot, Loch Ness, etc. They spend a lot of time "investigating" the area to see if they can prove or disprove the mysteries.

Typically, they wind up in some area, half way around the globe, where the locals give reports of an animal, dangerous, carnivorous and pretty ticked off at the entire planet.

OK, so, there's a group of urbanites, who's idea of wildlife is Aunt Gertrude's Chihuahua that lives in her pocket. They're in the deep, thick, stifling rain forest. With no weapons. They're looking for an unrecorded animal that, according to locals, could easily rip out your throat, remove your limbs and use your skull cap as a cereal bowl in the morning.

At what point should someone tell them that they've stopped being researchers and started being a walking smorgasbord.

Hahahahaha!

misspix wrote in post #12057972 (external link)
They should not be told. Much amusement for such as myself

LOl!

puddlepirate44 wrote in post #12058019 (external link)
True, but there's always a young lady as a part of the team that, really, should not be there. Anything more stressful than stale bagels or lukewarm coffee sends her into a full fledged, gonzo whopper panic. She spends most of the show near tears, screeching or running away. After a while, I find myself yelling at the TV, "REMOVE HER! REMOVE THE WEAK LINK OF THE OPERATION!"

I shouldn't watch these things.

LMBO! So true.

misspix wrote in post #12058147 (external link)
I don't watch them. I always root for the beast and my family finds that disturbing

LOL!!!

Changed my mind already.

If you don't roam the halls you don't find links to pictures like these.

There are some amazing images here, and everyone looks so happy, some of these are a bit NSFW if you use non European standards :-)

I was able to get in and all i can say is WOW! And I thought the Rose Parade floats were fancy...

Hi Everyone. Got caught up on the DIS Cruise Forum today, mostly in one thread, they have a exchange called FE, and I started my project today. Going to plan on making about 30 of them between now and Sept (may make more - depending on how many people sign up.

Hello!

Mari forced me to TMS ....first started with "I want pictures of Samuel and will be taking him to XYZ to get pictures taken."
I said I could do that, why spend the money.....right?
Next thing I know, I'm borrowing a co-workers background stand and then pondering what to do with lighting while at the camera store buying the white paper. Then my wonderful wife said, "Why don't we buy some lights since I don't really want to borrow something so expensive from your co-worker." Gah What?! Uh...okay. We ended up getting a Westcott brand kit which was 2 lights, stands, rolling bag, sync cords and softboxes which then came with a free light, gels, grid, barn doors and short stand included. Not bad...total 1200 watts if needed. So I spent a good part of yesterday going through a crash course of lighting, setting up, messing with camera settings and using one of the subjects...hehe...I think I have the lighting where I want it. So later today, we do a shoot with both boys....if the lil one cooperates again.

So much for saving up for the Android Tablet I wanted to buy. :|

Here is one of the 15 shots we are going to print out of the lil man. :D

QUOTED IMAGE

Forced you to spend the $ huh? Great photo of Samuel.

Dan - Love the history lessons today. They had me laughing when I would pop over here.

Tim - your wife is very talented when decorating her cakes.

Off to bed. I went to bed about 11ish, woke up at 1, and went back to sleep about 5:30. Woke up to a phone call at 8:30. Time to head off to bed as I have to work tomorrow.

Hope everyone has a good Monday
