Sorry to hear that your surprise had to be ruined Omar.... :(

My Valentine's was today... my day with my boys... I bought myself a single rose... and some dark chocolate truffles... that's the extent of my day. My boyfriend doesn't really have any romantic bones in his body. LOL So no flowers for me. LOL

Bummer Omar.

Yup. Crap customer service on the rebound of it. How about offering to upgrade the order? Or add something additional to make up for it? (not that it would have made up for missing the date any better but the gesture of caring would have gone a long way) Nope nada. I work in the service industry and it's the least we would have offered a customer had we failed them in something we promised.

Sorry for the rant everyone. This just really pissed me off.

It just sucks especially when you feel the company didn't do more than what they offered. :(

Terrible situation. I'd definitely not deal with them again. I would also tell as many people as possible what level of service they can expect.

I'm sure Mayra will be just as pleased, perhaps even more so, if you just tell her how much she means to you. That's what really matters to her. Not flowers.

Although you'd better have a darned good explanation ready for why she's not getting any flowers.

Thanks Jenn. I try when I can :) just sucks on this end. I'll be surprising her with flowers after work instead. Salvage some of my idea.

Aww you had a great one with your boys. Sounds very relaxing! I'm going to hold out hope your boyfriend does other things throughout the year to make up for it :D

Thanks chief! Don't ever order from youflowers.com. They were the culprit. Chief there isn't a day that goes by that I don't mention how much I care about her. :D

I almost always have a good explanation. If not I have chocolate :D

It was pretty relaxing even though it was a busy day. We had fun. Tomorrow they'll be with their dad... so it will be a very quiet Valentine's Day for me. I'll be at home... suppose I'd better get another bottle of pinot and more dark chocolate...

The 20D and 30D used the same sensor, did they not?

Nice :D

I thought they did. I'm not sure. But there's no accounting for the color differences then.

Quick check in all! Hope everyones weekend has gone well!

Quick story: I get home a few hours ago and found a voicemail from youflowers saying they will miss the delivery of mayras flowers tomorrow. I call them up and they offer to send it on Tuesday with a sorry note. I tell them that doesn't help matters because I placed this order weeks ago. They call me the night before to say it can't be filled? They offer to call her to apologize and tell her it's thier fault. To which I say she is the most humble person I've ever met. She could care less about the day and I'm not held accountable to do anything on it. What this all does is that it ruins my surprise. I tell them send the flowers on Tuesday and expect this to be the last time I conduct buisness with you.

I get it's the busiest day in thier industry but calling the night before to say you can't make the order? Rediculous. Sorry just fuming right now. I called mayra and spoiled the surprise to let her know what happened. She was okay with it and is happy I thought to do something. It just sucks especially when you feel the company didn't do more than what they offered. :(

That stinks. What lousy customer service!

Not picking, Jenn, but maybe his definition of romance is different than yours. Don't get me wrong, I like flowers, like the next girl I suppose, but to get them only because it is expected on a certain day on the calendar, is not romance to me.
But, to keep it in perspective, romantic to me is in much smaller, subtler things. Like having my car washed, or the oil changed, or that first cup of coffee on Saturday morning being brought to me while my eyes are still focusing, or....well, you get the idea ;)
*shrug* I have always preferred a solid band of silver to a flashy marquis diamond.

I am a tad jealous of your truffle, however

Cool! Share someday?

Sure!

First, thought I would share my front room view. Ginore the ugly buildings in the bg, going to be adding more shrubbery (sorry, Z, lol) to block that soon

The rest of these are all shot through various windows with the Tammy, and cropped within an inch of their lil lives, lol. Pardon the quality
