Was able to get a few shots over the past couple weekends and hope she stays. We were able to view 2 in the area but this has to be one of the most "awesome" birds I have seen live ... and finally got to see one... A first for me..

Thanks, there are 2 of them there and have a feeling they are a pair. 4 of us seen the 2 last eve but hoping she or they will stay. Seems like a morning shoot and the light is great for all but maybe an hour. (As you found yesterday morning). I have a few more for the site but my lil helper came back and that put me inside min focus

Ive been waiting a bit on one and think of hitting the UP or Canada next year. A friend of mine up north said that she has 12 of them near the cottage ;)
Maybe a canon forum trip ?

Nice pictures, really beautiful. I never really seen a owl in the wild yet aloe see one fly. But he better watch his step on that last picture.

Great shots. I'm envious. I don't recall having seen one of these since the 1950s - LOL!
