I was just wondering if Canon was releasing any new bodies. I am thinking about buying a 7D but not sure if something new was on the way.

Thanks

Yup. rumored a new 600D and possible a new 1DIVn and who knows, maybe a new 5DIII and a 1DsIV. Of course, it's all rumor. Oh, and the 1000D is due for an upgrade as well.

Are these within the next year or a few years?

Rumored this year, maybe soon. Head on into the rumors forum and check out all the possibilities. Of course, nothing is real until Canon actually announces it, it's all conjecture so if you're wanting a bode, get it. There will always be new bodies coming out.

Canon conference scheduled tomorrow, so perhaps solid evidence within the week.

Nothing is imminent. I think a 5D III or 1Ds IV would be next to come, but that's just random guessing. A new Rebel will probably come too. No one ever really talks about a 7D II.

some fairly old canon camera stuff, canon lenses, Manfrotto "thingy", and an M5, also an M6 that has had a 720nm filter bolted onto the sensor:

I am just trying to decide if I should:

1. Buy the 7d or 5Dmkiii
2. If I should wait since I plan on using Best Buy's interest free financing for it

7d and 5d2 are two very different cameras, and you have a very capable t2i. sure you should upgrade at all? and what does best buy's financing have to do with the waiting, i'm missing the point i think...
