I usually take around 150 images during my portrait sessions, I would say about half of them are unique poses, the rest are the same pose, different hand placement, facial expression, and different crops (tight, wide,etc) of the same pose.

I typically select the best 50-80 to show them, and only provide color correction, cropping, and sharpening in a small web gallery.

After they select their finals based on pose and facial expression, I do a full retouch on each image and add processing to their liking. I can't see editing 20-50 images fully only to have them buy 5 or 10.
