T3i / 600D Announced

Hi I am a beginner and I just bought the T3I. What is a good instruction book for me to learn from?

New to the forum and the t3i. Previous Nikon owner D40 and then later D90. I love the menu access on the Canons compared to Nikon. Being new to Canon, I had to buy into the new system (lenses and not just the body). I tried the 60d but found it to bulky and also clunky to move through the menus (especially the mode wheel which locks). For the money, the t3i gives me 99% of what I want especially the lighter weight when hiking. $749 for the t3i and $1199 for the 60d is a $450 difference. More money to buy glass.

The difference in price for the body alone is $280 (B&H). The reason you arrived at such a price difference is that you compare the T3i with the EF-S 18-55 against a 60D with the EF-S 18-135 (B&H)

The T3i is an equally capable camera in most scenarios, if it fits your needs, you've done well. The more money you have for glass, the better off you are.
