Unless the photo is going to the customer then put the watermark wherever you please IMO. Its not conventional where you have it but I have seen (and done) alot worse.

please let me know what you think ... i photoshoped out the background to get this image and i was happy with the final product 
.. yeah the water mark i just chucked in there quickly i got a logo i normally put in the bottom corner .. i was tired lol >.<
