So I did a county fair last year, it was interesting and learned a fair bit. Mostly I learned I do not need to be there the minute it opens and be there all day. Although it does make it easier to get a great parking spot, which came in handy last year, the battery in my car died and I was close enough to use the extension cord in the back of my car to charge the battery. 
But thats another story. Last year I targeted my booth at portraits in general. I had examples of pets, babies, families. This year I want to target it more to the high school seniors, but also some what to the rest of the categories. The fair is in September so its past the prime senior booking stage but there are still those that need pictures. Last year most of the senior aged kids didn't seem to give my booth much attention. I was wondering if anyone has any tricks to get the seniors attention. Other than hiring muscular guys and beauty pageant winning models to man the booth. I would like to have the booth be setup and not have to worry about taking it down each day when I leave it unattended. I probably wont be there for the first 5 hours each day, just during the peak times each evening. One idea is to have a projector and show an interesting slide show of images on rotation but I do not want to leave a $300 projector and a laptop there unattended. Last year I had a collection of prints on the wall, two 20x30, two 16x20, four 11x14 and a 16x20 on an easel *painting one*. They were supported on ropes that I had stretching across the two posts at the ends of my booth and were hanging at the very back. I was thinking of moving the display up to the front so people can get a closer look. I dont particularly want to do the ropes thing again because it looked ok, but not great. and if I do the projector thing, then I wont have room for the pictures to hang. Any tips would be great.
