I was shooting a golden eagle at some distance so I had the 100-400+1.4x TC combo on the camera. I had only used the TC on primes but just before I left on this trip someone posted some impressive images with this combo. I have to say the IQ is far better than I expected.

It was a real treat to catch one on this trip. I got over 70 shots of him and will have some large prints made of the best shots once I can check them out on the good monitor at home.
