with the price hike coming, they rebate it for a extra month to keep it the same price. Kinda silly.

I thought the price increase was only for lenses...

I just noticed these other 'refurbished' cameras on the same site.

What is defined as a 'refurbished' camera?

I would buy it now from B+H. If its cheaper come the 20th from B+H, you would be in the 14 day return/price match window. I would think they would refund the difference to you. If its not cheaper then you gained 11 days to get acclaimed to your new DSLR and shoot with it.

7D is now $1479 on BH. Is it going to be $1279 after the rebate?

What site is this from?
I ordered one this weekend online for 799 (body only) after "handling" (shipping was "free", year right!) and an extra battery it is $873 to my door. I have bought cameras from these guys before, and yes they are in NJ. I'm holding my breath until it gets here. No problems before.

The 7d was also $200-off for a brief period last year--and didn't they raise the price before the drop?

So how does this work? Im wondering... i will be in New York from the 21st for 5 days, at 799 it works out to be roughly £480 which is an absolute bargain for me! With the rebate do you have to be a US citizen or can you just have the $100 back?

you also have to pay the sales tax of NYC 8.65%. But with the rebates it is given on the spot generally. Now paperwork to fill out or to mail in.
