Due to the lack of wide's in the EF lineup I'm considering the Sigma 14 mm f/2.8: http://www.bhphotovideo.com …SA&addedTroughType=search (external link)

Anyone tried this on a 1D II? Samples??

Do you mean lack of affordable wides?

Sorry no I have not tried it.. but was just curious what you meant about the EF line?

I too would love to hear about the Sigma 14mm,.. especially from anyone who had tried both it and the Canon 14mm.

Yes, affordable so to speak. Images I've seen does not convince me to buy the EF 14 f/2.8L

I've seen images from the Sigma 14 EX mounted on a D2x, but I'd apprechiate some Mark II samples (1.5x vs 1.3x). Anyone, please?

I don't know what you would end up with by using the EF15mm on a 1.3 crop. But, I do hope to get one before too long and it does not look "fisheye" at all on a 1.6 crop.

G5, 20D w/BG-E2, a couple of "L" lenses, a couple that are not, several EX flashes, a good light meter, and other stuff.

What´s about the Sigma 15mm f/2.8 EX Diagonal Fish-Eye for near $370?
It has also a good reputation and reviews.

Cheers

Canon's 15mm fisheye 2.8 on a 1.6 crop is an awesome lens. The only downsides being no USM and the glass element is subject to scratches because of the pretruding glass.
