There's a lot of water flowing now and I'm planning on going up in the next week or two. Looking at your avatar, looks like you got a great shot. Mine didn't turn out so wall last year!

Not sure if you saw this: http://www.michaelfrye.com …alley-coming-attractions/ (external link)

I know I could not believe the next day the flow was almost gone. This year if I can make it I am going to shoot from the south side of the river.

Cheers... jim

I got there early (10am) and watched the water go from a "raging" fall to a near trickle....and then add the wind.

I'm thinking of shooting from south side too, but since I have a tougher time walking, I may just stick to the parking lot.

The turn out just past Cathedral Beach provides some good vantage points with in a short distance from the car.

Cheers... jim

I'll have to think about that. I'll most like get up early and try and capture some morning light "some place" and scout a place to park/photograph.

Awesome shot. I would love to get that shot. I remember I used to have a shot of Half Dome shot from the Mt. Hamilton Observatory.

Cheers, Jim
