What is it that I need to do to see the thumbnail pics of my raw files without using Lightroom or PS...? Sometimes I like looking through windows explorer and I just want to see the raw files.

tonylong ...winded More info | Feb 09, 2011 14:46 | #9 I should say, though, that I prefer the ability of DPP, Lightroom, Photoshop and others to pick up Exif/Metadata info from a Raw file. Tony

All the other programs suggested require you to open another application.

The only exceptions are codecs which hook directly into the Windows Imaging Component framework and are consequently able to display your images in Windows Explorer. Other than the previously mentioned Canon Raw Codec (32-bit only) and FastPictureViewer Codec Pack 32- or 64-bit), none of the programs will allow you to view raw thumbnails in Windows Explorer aligater wrote in post #11810546 Not if you use them as default !
