Maybe I'm a bit slow, but recently I came across The Photographers' Ephemeris -- a freeware app specifically designed for photogs. I was so impressed that I thought I would inquiry about other favorite freeware/shareware applications for photography. Your favorites?

I've tried The Photographer's Ephemeris and thought it worked rather well. Unfortunately most of the photographic freeware I've tried has been rather poor quality :(.

Paid however, I speak very highly of Adobe Lightroom 3 and Breeze Systems DownloaderPro! :D

I approve of Canon Digital Photo Professional. It's basic, but it's great for all your basic post processing adjustments. It's almost all I ever use. Yes, I know I could do way more with photoshop, but I'm laaaaazy.

I also like EOS Camera Movie Record. Their main page is in Russian, but it's easy to find the download link. It allows your computer to record video from any EOS DSLR. It's still pretty basic, but nothing else lets me take video with my SXI

GIMP (external link) (GNU Image Manipulation Program) should also be mentioned. I use it at work and Photoshop at home.
