Can someone recommend a fluid head for use with my gripped 5D2 (sometimes gripped 7D)? I would prefer something that can use the same Manfrotto RC2 quick-release plates as my current tripod (a Manfrotto 190XPROB tripod with Manfrotto 486RC2 ball head). Thanks.

Anyone know what the difference is between these 2 Manfrotto heads?

and

I am looking for something simple so I can pan when I shoot video on the 5D2. The ball head does not cut it. Thanks.

I recently bought the 123RC for my video work and it's as simple as it can get. I had the same reasons as you did when I was picking the fluid head. Also this was almost the cheapest alternative.

It's smooth, simple and sturdy, and right now it's everything I need from a fluid head. My point is that it's a good choice.
