:p

This is a rumors section, so lets post some qualified rumors. What 3 features are a MUST for the 7D2 and what is 1 feature that would kill sales?

I want:
1. AF-linked spot metering
2. Voice memo
3. Less mp-- Somewhere around 12mp would be awesome

AF-linked spot metering would make life tons easier and shooting in certain situations quicker.

The voice memo is irreplaceable in sports photography and photojournalism (much of what I do). It is easy to attach a play detail or subject reference directly to the image file. Once again this makes life easier.

Less mp is just a noise thing. I could live without it if Canon added the other two features first.

I DO NOT want:
1. Articulating screen

No articulating screen please. I will never use it and I see it as another weak point on the camera. The screen is rarely used as is, so I don't need one that can become floppy after several abusive shoots.

I know that there are a couple of these threads already posted, but they have all turned into a "ooo I want FF or 1.3x sensor" or "ooo why you hating on the swivel screen meng?" I would like to keep this thread relatively realistic with 1.6x sensor since that IS the 7D.

A feature that would kill sales is a metal spike that shoots out of the eyepiece when you turn the dial to the green rectangle.

There was already a thread about this: Here's my wishlist from back then.

...to which I want to add to this:
- Integrated GPS
- Nicer-looking battery grip (not as tall)
- 90° flip-up screen but not completely articulating

If I had to narrow it down to three features, I'd say interchangable focusing screens, flip-up screen and GPS (in that order).

Why the flip-up screen? The only times I wish for an articulating screen is when shooting stuff from close to the ground and a 90° flip-up screen would be perfect for that.
Why not completely articulating? I've tried that on different cameras now and I find it strange to have the screen next to the camera instead of on the camera when hand-holding it.

articulating screen is my number 1 want

better low light performance, if at the expense of MP that is not a problem
GPS would be nice too

Less MP == fail. I don't think I want any more MP on a crop sensor but 16-18 is perfect IMO.

Honestly, there is very little that I want changed on the 7D.

I love the 7D the way it is, I wouldn't change anything. I recently did a shoot at 6400 ISO and was extremely happy with the results. They can leave the 7D alone and concentrate on the 5D II!
