First I attempted to determine the focal length of the fresnel with a flashlight to learn how long to make the side beams. I attached the fresnel to the side beams with velcro and the side beam to the flash with velcro. It worked but came out too flimsy for my liking. If I ever did it again, I would make some sort of collar type mount for the flash attachment, with the side pieces permanently fixed to it. Maybe cut the end of a Omni Bounce and epoxy the sides to it? San Diego, CA
