The ospreys were carrying branches, moss, etc to the nests. Great fun to hear the branches crack when they would break them off to take to the nest.

We could see the nests near the water and all were occupied. Canon 50D, 40D, Tokina 12-24,Canon 18-55,Canon 28-135 IS, Canon 50 1.8,Canon 75-300 5.6,

They also carry whatever they have in circles around the nest tree several laps before landing. I think they are showing off??? Thanks, Maureen...I had lots of practice on BIF...pelicans everywhere, osprey, hawks, eagles....I have to look for hours to get shots around here. Although today, with the snow melting, there were a lot of hawks out when I drove downtown. Guess the mice and voles were back out where they could get them.
