Have 425ex 4 days and have put it through various tests with G6 - and I am exteremly impressed with the results on indoor shots - the best thing I can say is the results don't look like "flash shots". The lighting is even and looks natural, and the exposure is dead on. The G6 built in flash wasn't too bad, and had its uses, but the 420ex puts things in a different league. Any users' comments I have read have been uniformly in praise of the unit, and I can now see why. I know this is now replaced by the 430ex, but I picked up a new 420 at Jessops. And its nice to know that the unit will work with DSLR, which may be a future buy for me.
