It's been said before but please don't respond to the spammers posts just click on the little red report post icon next to the post in order to report it to MODS then it will be removed as soon as possible.

By responding You are helping the spammers to get more attention.

Ah the internet, its sort of like the a civilised example of what the world must have been like before civilisation.

Out side of heavily protected and guarded comunities there are no laws and no rules, and inside those heavily protected comunities the laws are made by dictators and enforced by loyal agents.
But there is no common law and charlatins and scammers are free to ply thier trade of lie's where ever they like.

So long and thanks for all the flash

Perhaps I have missed them or the mods are just way faster than they used to be. I haven't seen much of that kind of activity on here lately.

My life is like one big RAW file....way too much post processing needed.

The posts were removed fairly quickly but a few people posted a reply to one of the 3 identical posts a spammer posted before they were removed.

Its just a suggestion so the spammers don't get too much exposure. If everybody just don't reply then the spams will die a silent death and get removed by the MODS.

i think he's saying that the internet is like the olden days and these forums are like kingdoms and the owner is King and we, the subjects like it here so we play by his rules and even though he runs things well, spammers still come in to "ply thier trade and lies" so the Kings loyal guards stop them when caught!

I dont think anyone likes spammers!

I think I was one of those that replied... I do not approve of spam, but after many different types of forums I suppose they just don't phase me anymore.

I will not reply to spam in the future.

I totaly agree with you Tommy, Everyone should do thier part to help rid the internet of Spam

I like spam about as much as a farmer likes a rustler

I mod a large forum where we ban on average one spammer a day, about half of them we catch just by watching the forums, the other half are reported by members.
Sometimes spam in some of the smaller forums can go unnoticed for weeks, and in rare occasions months at a time, not really a problem here, but when there are over a thousand subforums you need the surport of members to keep such things undercontrol.

So long and thanks for all the flash

This is something spammers have just started doing in the last 6 months, its very hard to mod as its possible to sign up and start sending PM's with out posting, so the member is never seen by mods since PMs are totaly private.

The only way the admin can catch them is if you forward the PM and any details onto a mod, then they can put an end to the members activity very quickly :)

With luck enough members will report these PMs and the spammers will be detered from doing it, if people don't report it then controlls might have to be put on PM usage.

So long and thanks for all the flash
