I just received my 2x TC Gen III a little while back and have not had a chance to use it. Well, I have been doing an electrical job recently where I have seen quite a few hawks flying around. So, today I decide to start carrying my 7D, 70-200mm f/2.8 IS and 2x extender with me. Low & behold, he sat perched on a wire, sunning himself, WITH HIS EYES CLOSED! Couldn't have been any better for the taking!

Thanks for looking!!

I could be wrong but I would guess that eye is actually missing.

Intresting, Ive never seen a lid like that before. Usually they have a more clear membrane type cover but I haven't ever seen something like this. thanks for sharing.
