Someone in another thread thread was asking how to correct a title and I told him to use the report button.

Another member came back with a quote from the rules that said "Note: This is ONLY to be used to report spam, advertising messages, and problematic (harassment, fighting, or rude) posts." :o

Yet I'm sure I've seen mods tell members to do just that to get a mod to change the title.

Am I wrong to suggest this?

The report button can be used to report anything you think needs to be reported to and dealt with by the moderators. So you were absolutely correct in suggesting that.

Maybe the rules need an revision... ;-)a

I've used it to mainly report spam, but sometimes a post is obviously in the wrong place and I use it for this as well and I've never been banned from the forums.
