Good find. I didn't know they had that in Flint.

The Buick reminded me of the Ford Seattle-ite XXI

Frank:

you live in the 'hood and you've never been to Flint? ;)

It's a worthwhile trip/visit if you are at all into classic cars and kitsch.

There is also Stahl's Auto Museum, in St. Clair Shores (if you've never heard of/been).

Here is the link to the car museums and auto shows on my Flickr website:

Jim,

Are there any limitations put on photographers at the exhibition?

Windpig...
at Sloan's Buick Museum, I went on a weekday morning and pretty much had the place to myself. The young lady who works in the office asked me to somehow give credit to the Museum when I post the pics--which is why you see the writing on all the pics in that gallery. I used a tripod for all the shots, since the lighting was not good in many areas and I had to use low shutter speeds...and, if you notice, the shots are mostly taken from below waist height (keeps distortion down when using wide angle lens and puts camera on a better focus plane than when shooting from a standing/higher position).

At Stahls Auto Museum I shot with and without a tripod, and they seemed 'photographer-friendly'...I chatted with one of the proprietors before going about the place, shooting...it's usually a good thing to do, to give the business/owners some 'atta-boys' on their place/exhibition :)
