Got my first SLR today, so feel free to give me any advice or hints that might help me ...

Your best one is the last one, practicing makes you better as well as reading on here can help out a bit too. I would say 1-6 are underexposed, but keep working at it! Cute kids ;)

^ Agreed, all but the last one is underexposed. But it looks like you got a great set of models to practice on :).

I like the fact that in a lot of them you have off centred composition - makes more interest. You seem to be doing well with DOF, (Depth of Focus - what parts are blurry and what parts are sharp) especially in the last 3. As said above they are mostly underexposed (too dark). Try playing with higher ISO settings, Fill flash, and at different times of day. You captured some great expressions. Keep having fun!
