First off, I really do recommend buying a few and then using lenspens to clean your camera lenses. They are very effective - the non-solution-based lens cleaner and the brush work hand in hand to remove dirt, dust and all sorts of marks from the lens.

What I DON'T recommend however, is putting the lenspen next to a torchlight and waking up in the morning to clean your lenses:

I almost did that and I got a shock that I was holding the torchlight instead of my lenspen. Fortunately, no filters or lenses were hurt in the process.

Just sayin'

Haha- they should put a small (recessed) LED on the top of the LensPen for all your late night cleaning needs!

Yes, but in the dark with the torchlight you can see what you are doing. :)

Personally, I don't see how one could make that mistake...the feel alone is totally different between the two. If its that dark where you can't see what you are doing, then the first thing you should be doing is feeling for the the light, not making an attempt to clean your lenses. Easy solution is to clean everything after the last shoot or the evening before you plan to use your gear (and maybe re-title the thread...has nothing to do with the lenspen).

 If you can make such a mistake then you are in no condition to be handling or cleaning lenses.

Haha chillax guys, I'm not being serious here. It was just one of my groggy homer simpson "doh!" moments :p

@mattyb240: The LD20's a great great flashlight. It got dropped by a few friends and dunked in water, and it's still going and going. 2 x AAs power it up and I've never had it die on my long trips.
