Yesterday I dropped my 430ex onto a concrete floor...

After reassembling the battery door etc all looks good. It switched on, 'whines', display and buttons work correctly, pilot light comes on.... but it doesn't flash! Neither the camera or the test button triggers the flash.

Being that everything else seems in order my suspicion if that the flash tube itself didn't like the fall.

Anyone have any idea who in the UK might repair it and what the cost might be. I'm sure Canon will but not sure what their standard charge is. Anyone know? Of any idies which might be a bit cheaper?

Thanks

Geoff

Send in a repair request and see what they say. Standard repair is about $100 USD plus parts. Same thing happened to my 580EX II.
